Most Fabulous Bravo Personalities: #16 and #17 - Zoila and Monkey

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

As part of the NaBloPoMo celebration, I’m posting my list of top 30 Most Fabulous Bravo Personalities. The points of qualification? Only one: be utterly fabulous. “Fabulous can mean intriguing, funny, hot, crazy…or all of the above. Stop back every day during November to see if you favorite star has made the list!

Today’s Fabulous #16 and #17 are Zoila and Monkey from Flipping Out.

Why are Zoila and Monkey fabulous? “Muuuuuuuuuunkaaaaaay!” (That was my best Zoila impression.) Who doesn’t love the little Hispanic maid and the grumpy fluff ball of a cat. On Flipping out, Zoila was perhaps the one person that Jeff truly, truly trusted, and beyond being an excellent housekeeper, Zoila was hilarious. For example, when Jeff was yelling at Chris the Trash Guy for using his computer and he started ranting about how no one is allowed on the computer, Zoila cracked a smile and asked what would happen if she went online to chat with her Internet boyfriends. Hilarious. I mean, you can just tell that Zoila probably doesn’t even know how to turn on the computer, let alone chat with some lonely online guys.

And then there was the interview with Andy Cohen. Half way through, Zoila basically said she was too flustered and some leaving. She walked off camera, and Andy pretty much didn’t know what to say. Again, hilarious.

I like to think of Monkey like Zoila’s evil sidekick. That cat is too funny. Jeff LOVES him, but Monkey’s main objective in life is to make everyone’s jobs harder. Remember when they took him to the acupuncturist? Remember when he crawled in the kitchen cabinet and hid? hahahahah. Fabulous. Zoila and Monkey are just totally fabulous.

Check back tomorrow for #15!

Most Fabulous Bravo Personalities: #30 - Jeff Lewis

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

As part of the NaBloPoMo celebration, I’m posting my list of top 30 Most Fabulous Bravo Personalities. The points of qualification? Only one: be utterly fabulous. “Fabulous can mean intriguing, funny, hot, crazy…or all of the above. Stop back every day during November to see if you favorite star has made the list!

Today’s Fabulous #30 is Jeff Lewis from one of the newer Bravo TV shows - Flipping Out.

30_Jeff_Lewis.jpg

Why is Jeff Fabulous? In addition to having these amazing, puffy lips (that he swears are natural), Jeff is that crazy kook you love to…love…because, well, you’re not allowed to hate Jeff Lewis. He says so. I love how passionate he is about his job and his family of friends. I also love how he’s not afraid to tell someone being stupid, “Hey, you’re being stupid. Go be stupid somewhere else.” Yes, the show was a bit boring, since nothing actually happened other than a typical real-estate house-flipper’s life, but Jeff is anything but boring.

Check back tomorrow for #29!

Meet Jeff’s Dad Tonight on Flipping Out

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

Tonight looks like one of the most interesting episodes of Flipping Out yet–Jeff’s dad, called a con man by his own son, comes to town. I have to say, I like the Bravo reality shows (at least, the non-contested-based ones) that actually get into the nitty-gritty issues. Do you remember that Work Out episode where Jackie and her mother confronted one another about the lesbian issue?

Anyway, here’s a preview clip from tonight’s epi, as they celebrate Chris’ birthday. Don’t forget to tune in and watch what happens!!

Flipping Out Preview 8/14

Monday, August 13th, 2007

Ready for Flipping Out tomorrow? My kitty, Godiva, is still a bit traumatized from last week. When Monkey started yowling, Godiva thought there was another cat in the house. A very mad other cat. She freaked out.

We’ll see what kind of craziness Monkey (and pet, Jeff) have this week!

Oh, and does everyone here agree that Zoila is the best part of the show?

Yeah, I thought so.

About Reality on Bravo

Who will pack their knives and go this week? Will Jackie Warner ever break up with Mimi? Who is in and who is "auf"? Is Lauri Waring fighting with Jo Del La Rosa? Will James Lipton interview your favorite star next?

Find the answers to all of these questions and more at Reality on Bravo. Polls, pictures, and only the juiciest gossip grace this webpage, and if you still can't get enough of the Fab Five or Andy Cohen, you can subscribe to the RoB monthly newsletter.
